Chapter 3: Moonwalkers Release Date, Schedule, and Etsy

Hey, my Squids!

Dropping by to give you all a little update on Chapter 3: Moonwalkers and some more goings-on in the Taliah camp. There’s a few things I want to touch on that should help explain some of my thought process with the release dates, how I want to schedule things for sites like GlobalComix, and more.

For October, I plan to have 3 pages released for Chapter 2. I’ve laid out a rough storyboard of how many pages until Chapter 2 is finished and my estimation is another 12, including these 3. If I’m finishing roughly 3 pages a month, that puts us into 2026, but I might cut some pages if I find they’re “too filler” over what I want to focus on. I did that same thing in Chapter 1. This puts Chapter 3’s release in 2026.

Originally, when I was first planning and scheduling this comic, I wanted to take 2 to 3 months off between chapters so I could craft 5 to 10 pages for release and take a breather. Since I’m no longer releasing pages every two weeks and the monthly schedule has made me feel a lot better about taking a break for a week or two before starting work again, I might just continue the normal release schedule without taking a break. It’ll mean that there’s less pages at the start of Chapter 3 to read but they’ll come more frequently. And, who knows, I may complete a ton of pages in one month like I did a few months back.

With that said, I may change how I post pages to GlobalComix. The post schedule there doesn’t affect anything else, so my website, Patreon, and Webtoons will all stay the same. However, on GlobalComix, when I post, I’m posting into the same release, which doesn’t send a notification that it’s been updated. I think for Chapter 3 I will post each set of pages, regardless of how many, as a new release and title them the same way I do on Webtoons. It’ll still be the same comic book format, just individual releases. When the chapter is complete, I’ll compile all of it into a release so people can read it all in one go. We’ll see if that works for Chapter 3 and, if it doesn’t, we’ll never speak of it again.

Now onto Etsy. I’ll be closing my Etsy shop this month. The reality is that people almost never buy prints or stickers from me. It costs more to keep it up (it’s like $5 a month) than I’ve earned from it in the last few years, so I’m going to shutter it. When I have a marketplace again, it’ll be when I have the comic books printed, which I’ll start doing when Chapter 2 is finished and compiled. Until then, Patreon is the best way to support monetarily… or subscribing and sharing my Youtube content so I can one day be monetized there. I would love to one day have a table at a con but that’s currently a distant dream.

That’s all I have for you Squids in this update. I’m very excited to get into Chapter 3 and show you a slice of Leira’s life before everything went to hell. It’s exciting to create, draw, and populate this world and even more exciting that there are other people who also enjoy it. Thanks for reading.
