Sudesh desperately wants to calm Leira. It’s clear at this point that everything has overwhelmed her and her old friend knows that taking her out, going to dinner with another friend, and trying not to bring up anything that’s happening might help clear her head long enough for the two of them to figure out where Saul is. The fact that the authorities haven’t looked into his disappearance is extremely telling.
