Hey, my Squids!
Dropping in to show off a little more of page 7 for Chapter 3. This time we get to see Leira and Saul in full. She loves surprising him when she comes back from a work trip, especially if he wasn’t expecting her. And him stumbling over his words is such a cute little thing for her.
Since Saul is part of the Organizational Collective, he’s not always in her area or even her building. There are multiple other Archives buildings downtown and the O.C., as they’re called, move from building to building and department to department collecting all of the data that the departments are cataloging so it can be evaluated and published. It’s an on-going job, so there’s always constant work. Most O.C. employees will just float around and, while Saul is no exception, he does tend to stay somewhere in her building most of the time. It’s just easier to meet up for lunch that way. Oh, lunch is usually with Leira’s friend and old bandmate, Sudesh, who works in the neighboring Archives building and usually is waiting out front when the two walk out. Maybe I’ll draw a little lunch picture of the three of them some day, a reminder that Leira’s life wasn’t always terrible.
