A little over seven years ago, Leira Orta was lead guitarist of the Metal band, Cryptid À Carnivale, an up and coming act that was set to take the world of Taliah by storm. Their demos and EPs were heavily circulated in the underground and they found themselves on festivals that numbered in the hundreds of thousands of attendees. Fronted by the enigmatic Arlynn Frever, Leira was accompanied by Sadie Cross on rhythm guitar, Ina Fukuoa on bass, and Sudesh Re’nah on drums. They were a force of nature. After the release of their first album, Winds of Abarogue, they toured extensively around Procoline Kingdom. But, right before they jumped back into the studio for their follow up, Leira left the band.

These days, she stays in touch with Sadie almost every day, Sudesh works at the Archives in another building and they regularly have lunch together, and she sees Ina once or twice a year when she takes work trips out to the U’chuu Ain kingdom where the bassist runs a veterinary practice… but Arlynn… she hasn’t heard from Arlynn, her childhood best friend, since she left the band.
