Hey, my Squids!
I was going to save this drawing for when Taliah Chapter 3: Moonwalkers launches but I got a little too excited and wanted to show it off. As you may know, Leira Orta, main character of the webcomic, was in a Heavy Metal band called Cryptid à Carnivale (Carnival of Cryptids or Cryptid Carnival in Abaroguian) in her youth and only left because they started to get famous. It wasn’t that fame was a problem, only that it was something her father wanted for her when she was younger. She rejected most of his ideas.
Well, Leira still keeps in touch with most of her ex-bandmates (minus one person, which you’ll notice in the opening of Chapter 3) and still plays guitar regularly. She even has old posters of the group, plaques and awards that they won, and magazine articles that were written about them. To say music was an instrumental part of her life before she became a Thaumaturge Mammologist is an understatement.
With that said, you’ll notice this drawing in her apartment in Chapter 3. It’s a poster that the band had made when they were in their late teens. From left to right are Leira, Guitarist; Sudesh Re’nah, drummer; Arlynn Frever, singer; Ina Fukuoa, bassist; and Sadie Cross, Guitarist. The five of them were a powerhouse in the music scene.
Just wanted to give you all a little preview of some Chapter 3 imagery!
