Hey, my Squids!
Dropping in with some more work in progress, this time of Page 19 for Chapter 3! This page is a simpler page, with some tighter shots except for the last panel. You get to see a lot of how Leira and Saul interact, with Saul being super silly and excitable and Leira liking it. But also how much she worries about him and his group chat.
A typical night for the two would actually be a little more exciting than just dinner at home. While they have been together for several years, because Leira’s work takes her away for months at a time, they sometimes try to cram in a lot of dates while she’s back in town. One of her favorites is one of their first, where they went to a fair in downtown Jaixia and Saul got to see what the Elemental Only games had. It was also one of the few times he got to see Leira use magick “for fun” and not for work or some other more utilitarian means. She won him a stuffed animal that day.
Still, the two love to be in sometimes, where Saul will cook for Leira and they lay around watching movies and talking about their days. If only she could return to those simpler times.
